Thynzar Believes Design Elegance

through refined fit, materials and construction.  A native of Rangoon, Burma, Thynzar graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco.  While in Asia during the early part of her career, Thynzar studied advanced Japanese apparel design, pattern making and construction — techniques comparable to the sophistication of fit and attention to detail found in French couture industry.

Later in San Francisco, she spent several years working for premier fashion designer Lily Samii. During Thynzar’s tenure with Lily, she further developed her knowledge of custom pattern drafting and French dressmaking. Production included tailored dress suits and custom evening gowns for occasions ranging from San Francisco society attending Opera, Symphony, and Ballet Galas, to celebrity guests on the red carpet at the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

Thynzar founded THYNZAR SHWIN in 2018, and she has been pursuing her passion for luxury fashion.
